Coinciding with Giving Tuesday, Nick Pozek joined the Global Community Charter School Board of Trustees. Nick was unanimously elected to join the Board earlier this year and received approval from the New York State Education Department last week.
Global Community Charter School (GCCS) provides a rigorous, inquiry-based education to more than 400 students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Students come from Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx to benefit from the high quality, challenging international education GCCS offers. 88% of GCCS students are eligible for Federal Free & Reduced Lunch, 19% are English Language Learners, and 21% are students with disabilities.
GCCS is proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and is authorized to offer the prestigious Primary Years Program (PYP) to its students. The PYP nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.
